Hi There!

Olivia Was at her Beautiful Grandmother Pamela's house this past week. (my mom had been gone for a month so we were pretty excited to be there).
Olivia is the third youngest of all of the 16 grandchildren and all of the "big cousins"
stack all of my moms dozens and dozens of pillows into the "pit" (sunken area of the living room) and jump in from the top step. Livi usually just goes all the way in and jumps. However, Olivia decided to take advantage of being the only "jumper" there on Friday and jumped from the top step for the first time! Yay Livi!
This picture is of Eliza this week at Grandma Karens house.

And this sweet photo is a snapshot of a nightly occurance. I tell ya, this man loves his girls. And since it is our anniversary tomorrow (thats why I put the wedding photo up top. I'm feeling lovey). I can say that I love this man!

Yay! Eliza is Here!

So it's been forever hasn't it? This is gonna be a quick go through because I don't have the time to go over the last three months in detail. This was me in February days before the little one was set to come.
Me inbetween pushes. i checked into the hospital at 11:30 a.m., didn't see my doctor until 1:00 p.m. I had no regular contractions but was 5 cm. dialated. They started me on antibiotics at 2:00 and pitocin at 5:00 then was dialated to 7cm. at 7:30. The contractions were getting really bad so i got my epidural at 8:00. I was 8 cm at 8:45 and they broke my water. at 9:37 p.m on february 17th after 15 minutes of pushing
Eliza Joris Hoy
was born. Joris is like Doris but with a J (obviously). Joris was my maternal grandmother's name with whom Eliza shares a birthday.

This is the first ever picture of Eliza.
She weighed in at 7lbs. 11oz. and was 191/2 inches.

I Love Christmas!

So, not to brag because I have to give Martha Stewart some credit, but I am pretty sure I made the best Christmas cookies ever this past week! They were amazing without the icing and got even more yummy once decorated. But did it take forever! I don't recommend doing cookies like these unless you have tons of time on your hands or are like me and you don't so you make time by staying up till 11 or 12 or 1 in the morning 3 nights in a row.
Shane had me make gift baskets for all of his employees that had 6 sugar cookies, 12 chocolate chip cookies, a loaf of cranberry banana bread (all of which were home made), almond roca, candy canes and a bottle of martinellis. Fun but stressful.
Last night we went to Oceanside for Tuesday's (my niece) birthday. For .2 seconds Liv wanted to dress up in the tea party clothes. But not a fraction of a second longer.

Thanksgiving Weekend

It was really nice to have Shane home so many days in a row. Olivia got used to having her daddy around that she is now asking for daddy all throughout the day rather that just in the evenings. We had a really Nice Thanksgiving even though I was up until 2:00 a.m. baking pies. Not a good idea when you are in your seventh month of pregnancy.
Shane played soccer in the rain with some people in our ward while I finished up the pies and then we headed up to my moms where the dinner was wonderful and then we headed down to the States home for the Hoy/States dinner.
Shane Finished putting up the lights around the house and i think that my inside Christmas decorations are almost all up. I'll be sure to take some pictures and post them soon.
This is kind of a dull blog, it's probably because I am tired. Better luck next time!

Hello Again!

So Its been six months since I last updated this darn thing and I will be quick with it.
The morning of Fathers Day Shane was told he was gonna be a daddy! (again)
From the next morning until mid-september I was miserably sick!
Our landlords sold the house they were living in and decided that they wanted to live where we were so we broke our lease early and moved a mile away. I was really sick and it was ridiculously hot (August). We now live in a nice house that is big so it's too expensive to furnish or decorate, so every so often when I let that get to me I am in my own personal hell.
We have found out theat the next addition to our little family will be little girl #2.
We are pretty happy about that.
so here is my update in a nut shell. I got pregnant, I got sick, Livi turned 1, we moved, it was hot!, and here we are!

The day we found out that cheese was one of Olivias favorite foods.
Olivia and Emma really excited about the 4th of July.

. . .and not so excited

Olivias Huge birthday cake that took me two days to make!

Livi loved opening her gifts.

At Bates Nut Farm getting a pumkin.
( not a pumkin under my shirt)

Olivia is getting shy.

My mom had a big Gypsy themed birthday party.
I raided her everyday wardrobe for my costume.

And we end with my little gypsy family.

Shane's Day

I really felt jipped on mothers day. I had 10 min. with Shane and Liv in the morning with some lively fruit tarts and flowers and then the rest of the day was run, run, run, stress, stress, stress. Sundays were the most stressful day on the mission and now they seem to be the most stressful day of family life too. Especially holidays and birthday celebrations. between church, my family and Shane's; Sundays are hectic. This past Sunday was not too different but Shane can always make the day good.
I Am so lucky to have this guy. He is pretty calm and collected all of the time and is never in much of a hurry if he doesn't have to be at work. He is always willing to lend a hand with Liv if I've gotta spend some time doing other stuff and he is such a good dad. I hope he had a good fathers day because he made my fathers day great knowing that my little girl and any children that follow have a wonderful daddy.

BEACH DAY!!!

So. . . five days later. I tried to post this blog on Saturday but Shane had changed some of the settings on our computer so when I posted this it ended up on the pest control blog. AHH frustration! Any way I couldn't figure out how to save it and put in on the family blog so it was lost . How ever, I have overcome my depression concerning the thing
any you get to see beach day!
Olivia and i went to the beach this last Friday with Erin and Ryan and Collete, Seth, and Brandon. We had a good time and I am proud to say that the only baby girl there was Livi and she was the only not to get scared of the water.
Let's see what fun Liv had.
" Hmm. . .what's this? Pretty color, handle. . . It's a Popsicle
MMMM!!! I love popsi. . .

wait. . . that's not a popsicle.

MOMMY!!!!!"

She was a little disappointed that it didn't turn out to be a popsicle but she got over it.
We cleaned her up and since silly me forgot to bring a shirt for the poor girl we had to put her in one of cousin Ryan's and she ended looking like one of the boys hanging out
with their mom's at the beach.

Till next time , The Hoys.
